The Donald Trump administration has prepared a new plan that envisages increasing fees for US citizenship applications by up to 80% and eliminating fee discounts and exemptions for low-income individuals. The proposal, published in the Federal Register, also includes an increase in fees paid for the reconsideration of denied applications.

The new proposal aims to increase these amounts by 75% to $1,330 for in-person applications and by 80% to $1,280 for online applications.
