Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova has met with the Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic of Mozambique

Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova met with Esperança Laurinda Francisco Nhiuane Bias (Marqarida Talapa), Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic of Mozambique, who is visiting our country to participate in the 20th session of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on the importance of the 20th session of the PUIC Conference, and the vital role of the Parliamentary Union in further strengthening relations between Muslim countries and their legislative bodies was highlighted.
Speaker Sahiba Gafarova noted the importance of cooperation and mutual support between our countries and parliaments within the framework of international organizations. She provided information about the activities of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, established on the initiative of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
During the conversation, issues of cooperation between the parliaments were reviewed, and opinions were expressed regarding the implementation of contacts and mutual visits between parliamentarians.
Esperança Laurinda Francisco Nhiuane Bias expressed her gratitude for the high-level hospitality shown and shared her pleasant impressions of her visit to our country and the capital, Baku. The guest emphasized the importance of the Parliamentary Union Conference and highly appreciated the work done by our country regarding the organization of the event.
She stated that they attach great importance to expanding relations with the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan and expressed her confidence that the relations between the parliaments will contribute to the ties between our countries.
An exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest also took place at the meeting.
