The US military has carried out another attack on a boat suspected of carrying drugs in the Eastern Pacific. It is reported that two people died in the attack.
elchi reports that the US military has added another attack to its series of strikes against boats suspected of drug smuggling in the Caribbean Sea and the Eastern Pacific. In a statement issued by the US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), it is stated that a joint task force carrying out Operation Southern Spear under the leadership of SOUTHCOM commander General Francis L. Donovan attacked a boat belonging to an organization identified as a “terrorist organization.”
The statement emphasized that intelligence confirmed the boat was transporting drugs via a known smuggling route in the Eastern Pacific, adding: “In this attack, two male narco-terrorists were killed, and the US Coast Guard was notified to initiate a search and rescue operation for the six surviving men.” It was reported that no US military personnel were harmed during the operation.
