The impact of the Iran war on the Pentagon, the economy, and Trump

With the signing of the agreement and the start of new negotiations, the US war with Iran has, at least for now, stopped. President Donald Trump says Americans have won. But what about the costs?
elchi reports that in a social media post on Thursday, Trump used the phrase “Welcome!” and listed the benefits of a memorandum of understanding that envisions negotiations with Iran continuing over the next 60 days.
In his post, Trump stated that oil is flowing again, Iran will never have nuclear weapons, stock markets are rising, employment is at record levels, and prices are falling.
He claimed that the country is stronger, safer, and more respected than ever before.
However, an objective analysis of what has changed after more than 100 days of conflict in a region where 13 American soldiers and more than 7,500 civilians lost their lives reveals a different picture than Trump’s statements.
