Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi spoke by phone with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
“Elchi” reports that Iranian media stated that during the phone call, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi informed Lavrov about the preliminary agreement reached between Iran and the US. According to the information, Araghchi conveyed the details of the memorandum of understanding to Lavrov and emphasized the necessity of a “complete cessation” of Israel’s aggression against Lebanon. According to the report, Lavrov welcomed the completion of the text and stated that Russia fully supports it. Both ministers also called on the international community and the United Nations (UN) Security Council to support the memorandum of understanding and emphasized the importance of continuing diplomacy to ensure peace and stability.
