The reduction in the speed of the “Starlink” satellite internet system will negatively affect the capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to destroy drones and strike Russian targets.

The agency’s interlocutors explained that “Starlink” communication is interrupted during high-speed movement. This seriously complicates the control of drones, as many of them are activated precisely with the help of satellite internet.
“Reuters” had previously written that “SpaceX” had restricted the internet for the Ukrainian army when the speed of rockets and drones exceeded 160 km/h. Communication begins to be interrupted immediately after launch, which makes controlling drones difficult. The Ukrainian authorities, in turn, stated that they did not receive any prior warning from this American company regarding the weakening of the internet.
