On June 16, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, received a delegation led by the President of the Turkic Investment Fund, Baghdad Amreyev.

It was stated that during the meeting, an exchange of views took place on issues on the cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and the Turkic Investment Fund, the Fund’s areas of activity, and prospective projects.
The parties emphasized that the Turkic Investment Fund, established through the initiative and active support of Azerbaijan, is of great importance in terms of deepening economic integration among Turkic states, promoting mutual investments, and contributing to the sustainable development of the region.
The role played by projects promoted by Azerbaijan in strengthening regional connectivity, expanding transport and communication opportunities, and developing economic cooperation was noted. In this context, information was provided on measures taken to increase the potential of the Middle Corridor, develop the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, and strengthen our country’s position as an important logistics and transport hub.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated that the Alat International Sea Trade Port and the transport-logistics infrastructure being formed around it serve to increase the volume of regional trade and cargo transportation.
In addition, information was provided on the work being done in the field of alternative energy.
The parties noted that more effective realization of the economic potential of the Turkic world, promotion of mutually beneficial investment projects, and increasing joint efforts in the fields of transport, energy, and infrastructure will make a significant contribution to strengthening common prosperity and the sustainable development of the region.
During the meeting, an exchange of views also took place on other issues of mutual interest.
