A person who stole 70,000 manat worth of gold from a house has been detained.
“Elchi” reports, citing the MIA, that police received information about the theft of gold jewelry with a total value of 70,000 manat from one of the houses located in the Narimanov district. As a result of measures taken by officers of the 16th Police Precinct of the Narimanov District Police Department, 35-year-old Elguc Mammadov, suspected of committing the crime, was detained.
During the investigation, it was revealed that he entered the apartment after learning that the victims were not at home. After committing the theft, E. Mammadov put on a jacket belonging to the homeowner to avoid attracting attention and left the scene.
An investigation is underway.
