The West’s reaction to the Poland-Ukraine conflict has been revealed

Former Polish Foreign Minister Czaputowicz: The West is surprised by the conflict between Warsaw and Kyiv.
elchi reports that the West is surprised by the deterioration of relations between Poland and Ukraine and believes that only Russia can benefit from the further escalation of the conflict. Former Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz stated this in an interview with Ukrinform.
“The West is surprised by this whole situation. I think everyone agrees that only Russia is expected to benefit from the further escalation of this conflict. But I repeat: fortunately, Poland has reassessed the situation and accepted that the losses resulting from the continuation of this conflict will outweigh the potential benefits,” he noted.
According to Czaputowicz, Poland is allegedly trying to “take advantage of Ukraine’s difficult situation to force it to change its attitude towards historical issues.” He also called the idea that Poland could “impose something” on Kyiv a “misunderstanding.” The former head of the Polish Foreign Ministry emphasized that the decision of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to name a unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine after the “Heroes of the UPA” (an organization banned in Russia) caused “real pain” in Polish society. However, he noted that instead of conflict, the parties should “engage in dialogue” and “calmly understand the complex borders of history.”
At the end of May, Zelensky named a unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine after the “Heroes of the UPA,” which caused a conflict between Kyiv and Warsaw.
Polish President Karol Nawrocki proposed stripping Zelensky of the “White Eagle” order, while Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk emphasized that Ukraine must be held accountable for the glorification of UPA figures (an organization banned in Russia). Tusk also noted that some of Zelensky’s statements irritated him.
