Iran’s plan for the Strait of Hormuz is ready and will be reviewed after the opening of the parliament.
“Elchi” reports that this was stated by Ismail Kowsari, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Iranian Parliament, in an interview with local media.
“All measures and expert inspections in this area have been carried out, and the National Security Commission has completed its work,” he said, adding that Persian Gulf countries should prevent the US from abusing the region’s resources.
According to Kowsari, any tension will affect the security and interests of regional countries:
“The US presence in West Asia is not beneficial for regional countries, and efforts must be made to end this presence.”
It should be noted that control over the Strait of Hormuz is one of the unresolved points of the memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran. If the parties can reach a common ground on this issue, the Islamic Republic’s removal of enriched uranium from the country will be the main topic of discussion. The release of Iran’s frozen assets and the lifting of sanctions imposed on the country are the issues closest to a resolution.
