Zonal championship of “Young Rescuer and Firefighter” competitions held in Baku

The zonal championship of the XIII National “Young Rescuer and Firefighter” competitions was held by the Baku Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

According to the information provided to elchi by the Ministry, the main purpose of the championship, organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education, was to test the physical and intellectual level of students regarding preparedness for emergency situations, to increase the sense of responsibility for individual and public safety among schoolchildren, and to instill a healthy lifestyle in the younger generation.

Educational institutions from the districts covered by the Baku Regional Center participated in the competition, which began with the playing of the National Anthem.

The competition consisted of two stages: “Combined Fire Relay” and “Obstacle Course”.

Based on the results of the intense competition, school-lyceum No. 220 named after Arastun Mahmudov in Nizami district took 1st place, secondary school No. 38 named after Aytakin Mammadov in Yasamal district took 2nd place, and secondary school No. 98 named after Ilgar Mirzayev in Khatai district took 3rd place.

It should be noted that the winning team has earned the right to participate in the national championship of the “Young Rescuer and Firefighter” competitions.
