Transfermarkt has completed the June market value update for Premier League players.
elchi reports that after this update, in which the values of 524 players were re-evaluated, the total value of the league decreased by 240 million euros to 12.37 billion euros.
Despite this, the Premier League has maintained its status as the most valuable league in the world.
One of the notable points of the update was the value of Arsenal defender William Saliba increasing by 10 million euros to 100 million euros. With this figure, the French footballer has been recorded as the second defender in Transfermarkt history to reach this threshold. Previously, only former Liverpool player Virgil van Dijk had reached this level in 2019.
His defensive partner at Arsenal, Gabriel Magalhães, maintained his market value of 75 million euros.
Decreases were recorded in the value of some attacking players. Arsenal star Bukayo Saka lost 10 million euros, dropping to 110 million euros. Florian Wirtz and Cole Palmer also fell from 110 million euros to 100 million euros. Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo also lost 10 million euros in value, dropping back to the 100 million euro level.
Tottenham player Dejan Kulusevski was the biggest loser of the update with a decrease of 18 million euros. The value of the Swedish footballer, who has been unable to play for a long time due to injury, dropped from 35 million euros to 17 million euros.
Alexander Isak’s value decreased by 15 million euros to 85 million euros. Micky van de Ven’s value dropped to 50 million euros, and Rodri’s value fell to 50 million euros due to age and injury factors.
The biggest winner of the update was Bournemouth’s young player Junior Kroupi. Scoring 13 goals in his first season in the Premier League, the player’s value increased by 30 million euros to 70 million euros.
Manchester City player Rayan Cherki also increased his value by 25 million euros to 90 million euros after performing with 12 assists in his first Premier League season.
Manchester City topped the list with a squad value of 1.32 billion euros. Champions Arsenal ranked second with 1.25 billion euros, and Chelsea third with 1.12 billion euros.
Among Turkish footballers, the largest increase was recorded for Ferdi Kadıoğlu. The value of the national footballer playing for Brighton increased by 5 million euros to 35 million euros, which is the highest figure in his career.
Manchester United goalkeeper Altay Bayındır’s value dropped from 7 million euros to 5 million euros. The goalkeeper, who had few chances this season, appeared in only 6 matches.
Enes Ünal, playing for Bournemouth, was also among the players who lost value. The value of the striker, who played only 242 minutes due to injuries, decreased by 1 million euros to 7 million euros.
