An event dedicated to International Children’s Day was held in Nakhchivan

An “open door day” was held by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic at the Civil Defense Regiment on the occasion of “June 1 – International Children’s Day”.

elchi reports that the main purpose of the event was to increase children’s knowledge about emergency situations, to form a culture of safety among them, and to provide an opportunity for them to get acquainted with the activities of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Participants of the event were first informed about the Ministry’s activities, structural units, and the work carried out in the direction of preventing emergency situations and eliminating their consequences. Children were given detailed information about fire safety rules, behavioral rules during emergency situations, primary safety measures, and the operation of emergency services in emergency situations.

Later, the children got acquainted with the modern equipment and machinery of the Ministry. The technical capabilities of firefighting, rescue, and other special-purpose vehicles were demonstrated to them, and information was provided about the purpose and application rules of the equipment used. Various rescue operations were demonstrated by rescuers, and the students’ questions were answered.

Within the framework of the event, recommendations were given to children about the prevention of emergency situations, the importance of following safety rules, and the significance of correct behavioral habits in life-threatening situations.

Children welcomed the organized event with interest, got closely acquainted with the demonstrated machinery and equipment, and obtained detailed information about the activities of the Ministry’s employees.

Within the framework of the event, an award ceremony for the winners of the drawing competition organized among children was also held. The authors of the best drawings were awarded with honorary certificates and gifts. In the drawings prepared by the children, safety rules, the activities of rescuers, fire protection, and topics of correct behavior in emergency situations were creatively reflected.

In the end, it was emphasized that the event made a significant contribution to increasing children’s knowledge and skills in the field of safety, as well as forming their interest in the rescue profession.

It should be noted that the city and district units of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations also held an “open door” day for students.
