A series of events have been held by the relevant agencies of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) to raise public awareness about behavioral rules in emergency situations.
According to the information provided by the Ministry to “Elchi”, with the participation of specialists from the MES State Fire Control Service, the State Service for Control over Small Vessels and Water Rescue, the Baku Regional Center (RC) held awareness events at secondary schools No. 104 in Surakhani district, No. 207 in Narimanov district, and No. 298 in Binagadi district; the Sumgayit RC held events at the Sumgayit City Talent Lyceum and the Sumgayit City Children and Youth Development Center No. 1; the Ganja RC held events at Ganja City Secondary School No. 27 named after Israfil Mammadov and the Chemistry-Biology Faculty of Ganja State University; the Karabakh RC held events at secondary schools No. 1 named after Mammadyar Farzaliyev in Kabirli village of Beylagan district and No. 5 named after Ali Mustafayev in Barda city; the Aran RC held events at the administrative building of the Gulbanda village administrative territorial district representative office of the Head of Aghdash District Executive Power and at the secondary school named after Nofal Babayev in Garibli village of Aghdash district; the North-West RC held an event at the secondary school in Lekit Kotuklu village of Gakh district; the North RC held an event at the secondary school in Tangaalti village of Guba district; and the Mugan RC held an event at secondary school No. 4 in Salyan city.
The purpose of these events was to provide citizens with necessary knowledge regarding behavioral rules during potential natural and man-made emergencies.
During the events, detailed information was provided on the classification of emergency situations, emergencies characteristic of our country, including necessary behavioral rules related to fires and earthquakes. The purpose of the MES “112” hotline was explained, and the use of primary fire extinguishing equipment was demonstrated.
During the interactive events, questions were answered in detail.
