FIFA has imposed a 3-transfer window ban on the Turkish club Fenerbahce.
“Elchi” reports that the ban is stated to come into effect from September 25, 2026.
According to the information, the decision is related to an unpaid debt. The club had a 45-day period to make the payment after the decision, but since the debt was not paid within this period, the sanction was applied.
It is noted that “3 transfer windows” is the maximum period provided for in FIFA procedures. The ban can be lifted if the debt is paid and documents confirming the bank transfer are submitted.
Fenerbahce is expected to make the payment and submit the relevant documents to FIFA in the short term. The amount of the debt and the specific case it arose from have not been disclosed.
