SEC: Appeals Commission has made adjustments to the written assignments of 1394 students

A total of 7487 students submitted applications to the Appeals Commission, organized regarding the results of the final attestation examinations for students at the full (11-year) secondary education level held on March 9 and March 15, 2026, requesting a review of their grades for 19895 written assignments.

According to the information provided to “Elchi” by the SEC, all submitted applications were reviewed, valid objections were taken into account, and for other (unfounded) claims, expert opinions were added to the students’ electronic appeal applications for each assignment.

It was reported that 186 of the applications were related to blank written assignments (no work was performed by students in these cases and they were completely empty), and 356 were related to assignments evaluated with full marks (these assignments were evaluated with full marks by markers during the grading process).

It was noted that applications regarding full-mark assignments were also reviewed, and appropriate notes were written in the electronic appeal applications.

“We would like to bring to the attention of the students that they can log in to their electronic appeal applications to familiarize themselves with the decisions of the Appeals Commission. Note that regarding the completion of the appeal process, SMS notifications have been sent to the mobile phone numbers provided by students in their electronic appeal applications.

The Appeals Commission has made adjustments regarding 1690 written assignments (0.06% of all written assignments for both exams combined) of 1394 students, and 508 of these adjustments are related to displacement cases (cases where the solution or answer to a task on the answer sheet was written in the section intended for another task), while the rest are related to errors made during the evaluation of written assignments. The relevant adjustments will be reflected in the students’ final scores in their personal cabinets on May 25-26, 2026.

It should be noted that more than 115,000 students participated in the exams held on March 9, 2026, and March 15, 2026, and these students completed more than 2.7 million written assignments,” the statement says.
