US President Trump stated that some countries in the Middle East are close to reaching an agreement in negotiations with Iran, adding: “I have delayed it for a while; I hope it will be forever, but it will probably only be for a while.”
elchi reports that US President Donald Trump answered journalists’ questions regarding the Iran agenda after an event held at the White House.
He stated that the leaders of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Qatar called him to say they were “close to an agreement” in negotiations with Iran and that this was the reason they postponed the planned attack on Iran.
Trump mentioned that they had planned a new attack on Iran for Tuesday (May 19) and said: “I have delayed it for a while; I hope it will be forever, but it will probably only be for a while. We are having very comprehensive talks with Iran and we will see what happens.” The US President emphasized that because the negotiations with Iran were nearing completion, the leaders of the three aforementioned countries requested a two-to-three-day delay in the attacks, and he agreed to this.
