Iran’s ambassador to the UK summoned to the Foreign Ministry

Iran’s ambassador to the UK, Seyed Ali Mousavi, has been summoned to the kingdom’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).

“Elchi” reports that this was announced by Sky News.

The reason for the summons was related to Iran’s actions in the region, as well as its activities in the information space.

The UK Foreign Office noted that during his meeting with the ambassador, Minister for the Middle East Hamish Falconer stated that a number of recent statements and actions by the Iranian diplomatic mission were unacceptable.

According to the report, the necessity for the Iranian side to refrain from any form of communication that encourages violence, whether in the UK or abroad, was emphasized.

The statement also noted that London will continue to express its concern over Iran’s actions in the region, including the situation in the Persian Gulf zone and other aspects of regional security.
