As a result of the intense rains observed recently, collapses were recorded yesterday in the roof section and inter-floor layers of the Boyuk Mardakan Castle.
This was reported to elchi by the State Service for the Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture.
It was stated that in connection with this, the Baku Regional Department of the State Service for the Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture inspected the monument, and access to the area has been temporarily restricted.
The condition of the roof section and load-bearing structures has been assessed, and relevant measures are planned to be taken.
It was noted that the situation is under the control of the relevant authorities, and necessary measures are being implemented consistently.
