Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the completion of the preparation process of a bilateral document on security guarantees with the United States.
Elchi.az reports that he announced this on social media after consultations with the Ukrainian negotiating group before a new round of trilateral meetings between the US, Russia and Ukraine on February 4-5.
“The Ukrainian delegation will also hold bilateral meetings with the US side. Ukraine is ready for real steps. We believe that it is possible to achieve a decent and lasting peace. A bilateral document on security guarantees with the United States is ready, and we hope to work on documents on reconstruction and economic development,” the report said.
Zelensky emphasized the importance of tension reduction measures, which came into effect last Friday night, noting that they help strengthen people’s confidence in the negotiation process and the possible outcome.
