Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces, General Dan Kane, has invited his counterparts from a number of countries in the Western Hemisphere, as well as Great Britain and France, to a meeting in Washington on February 11.
Elchi.az reports with reference to foreign media that the meeting will be dedicated to the fight against drug cartels and other organized criminal groups.
According to the US Department of Defense, chiefs of staff and high-ranking military representatives from 34 countries will come together to form a common understanding of common security priorities and strengthen regional security.
The ministry added that the meeting participants will discuss the importance of strong partnership, sustainable cooperation and joint efforts in the fight against criminal and terrorist organizations, as well as foreign actors that undermine regional security and stability.
