Pope Leo XIV strongly condemned the use of religious rhetoric to justify war and violence.
“Elchi” reports that he said this in his sermon delivered in St. Peter’s Square.
“God does not hear the prayers of those who wage war and have blood on their hands,” he stated.
The Pontiff urged world leaders to seek paths to peace and stop conflicts, calling not to use religion as a means for military mobilization.
