The Main State Traffic Police Department has warned road users about rainy weather conditions.
According to the information provided by the Main State Traffic Police Department to “Elchi”, the appeal states:
“According to the information provided by the National Hydrometeorology Service, intermittent precipitation is expected in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula from the daytime of April 4 to the daytime of April 6, and in the regions, starting from the western districts, from the morning of April 4 to the morning of April 7. Such weather conditions create an unfavorable environment for road users, increasing the risk of road accidents. Slippery road surfaces and reduced visibility during precipitation require higher attention and responsibility from drivers.
The Main State Traffic Police Department once again brings to attention that in such weather conditions, the speed limit should be chosen according to road and weather conditions, the distance between vehicles should be increased, sharp maneuvers should be avoided, and special attention should be paid to ensuring that vehicle wipers and lighting systems are in good working order”.
At the same time, it was stated that unfavorable weather conditions also create additional difficulties for pedestrians: “Pedestrians should be more careful when moving, cross the road only at designated crossings, and ensure that vehicles have completely stopped in all lanes before starting to cross”.
It was added that failure to comply with safety rules in such weather conditions can lead to serious road accidents.
