Swedish armed forces have completed reconnaissance work in Greenland, studying the conditions for future Arctic exercises.
Elchi.az reports that this was stated in a press release from the Kingdom’s Armed Forces.
As noted in the press release, the participation of the Swedish military consisted of planning officers.
The information states that “the work carried out on the ground was carried out to investigate the conditions and opportunities for future training in Greenland and the Arctic, which is of increasing strategic importance for NATO.”
Vice Admiral Eva Skoog Haslum, Head of Operations of the Swedish Armed Forces, explained that the next step will be to evaluate the collected data and plan the training.
