American billionaire Elon Musk re-posted a claim that “ChatGPT” was linked to several suicides, urging users to abandon the leading chatbot and provoking OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, who criticized Grok and Tesla.

Musk repeated the claim that the use of “ChatGPT” was linked to 9 deaths, and in 5 cases its interaction resulted in suicide, including teenagers and adults.
Following this, he wrote a public plea to stay away from the chatbot: “Don’t let your loved ones use ‘ChatGPT’.”
Hours later, Altman sharply criticized Grok, which was criticized for creating non-consensual sexual images, and Tesla’s Autopilot function.
