The leadership of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as the heads of several units and departments of the Service located in the region, visited the family of internal service chief sergeant Hakim Shahlah oglu Piriyev, who died while performing his official duties.
elchi reports that first, the grave of the deceased was visited at the Shorkand village cemetery in the Salyan district, where H. Piriyev was buried. Wreaths were laid on the grave, and prayers were recited for his soul.
During the visit to the family of the deceased, his memory was honored with respect, condolences were offered to the family members, and his long years of impeccable service and professionalism were noted.
Later, the medals awarded to Hakim Piriyev, the 3rd degree medal “For Impeccable Service in the Bodies of Emergency Situations” and the jubilee medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan “20th Anniversary of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (2005-2025)”, were presented to the deceased’s parents by the Deputy Head of the State Fire Protection Service, Colonel of Internal Service Mircavad Seyidov.
It should be noted that Hakim Piriyev, a senior firefighter of the Shirvan City Fire Protection Unit of the State Fire Protection Service, died on February 21, 2026, as a result of being hit by a car while performing his official duties during firefighting on the Baku-Astara highway.
