Due to the current rainy and foggy weather conditions observed in Azerbaijan, as well as the expected increase in traffic intensity on the roads during the weekend, drivers are advised to be cautious.
This was announced by the Main State Traffic Police Department (BDPP).
It was stated that foggy and drizzly weather conditions, especially during the night and morning hours, significantly limit visibility on the roads. This hinders drivers from timely seeing other road users, road signs, marking lines, and regulatory devices.
Considering the expected increase in traffic intensity on the roads on Saturdays and Sundays, the BDPP advised drivers to be more careful in unfavorable weather conditions, to choose their speed according to the road conditions, and not to set off with technically faulty vehicles.
The importance of strictly adhering to safety rules during stopping, parking, overtaking, and maneuvering was also emphasized.
The Department called on road users to comply with traffic rules and not to remain indifferent to safety.
