Free Land Will Be Granted to These Individuals

In the Republic of Azerbaijan, the allocation of land plots for ownership is generally carried out through auctions, competitions, or paid alienation. However, the legislation (Land Code, the Law on “Management of Municipal Lands,” and relevant normative-legal acts) establishes special exception rules for certain categories of individuals to protect the principle of social justice.

elchi reports, citing yenisabah, that based on these rules, designated citizens are entitled to receive a one-time free land plot for the construction of an individual residential house, a household plot, or for agricultural activities.

Disabled Individuals and Veterans of War

Young Specialists Relocating to Border and Mountainous Areas

Young specialists who settle in border, mountainous, and difficult-to-live-in areas, as well as those who relocate to these areas for permanent residence and work, may be allocated free land plots for ownership in accordance with local conditions.

Family Farming Entities and Beneficiaries of Agrarian Reforms

Individuals living in rural areas who establish family farming entities, as well as local residents who acquired land plot rights during past agrarian reforms, have been granted free land plots on the basis of ownership rights, and this mechanism is regulated at the expense of relevant municipal reserves.

Citizens Settling within the Framework of the “Great Return”

Individual houses built for internally displaced persons relocated within the framework of the “Great Return” program to the liberated territories, and the adjacent land plots where these houses are located, are provided to citizens for use and ownership free of charge at the state’s expense.
