“Ukraine must resume dialogue with Russia while there are still forces in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).”
elchi reports that this was stated by Oleksiy Goncharenko, a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada.
“The work that the Armed Forces are doing today is the only way we can negotiate with Putin,” the deputy noted.
According to the Ukrainian politician, if the front collapses, negotiations with Kyiv will not take place.
Earlier, Dmitry Peskov, the official representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin, stated that it is important for Moscow that Kyiv is represented by a legitimate leader in negotiations. “It is important for us that this be a legitimate government official, ready to take responsibility and make the necessary decisions to end this war,” he said.
