FIFA has unveiled the official brand for the 2027 FIFA U-20 Men’s World Cup.
elchi reports that the brand invites the next generation of football stars to make history at the tournament, which will be held in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
The official slogan, “It’s Your Game,” is directed at young footballers and the fans who support them.
This slogan reflects the spirit of the FIFA U-20 World Cup, highlighting opportunities to achieve great success, build new connections, and contribute to shaping the future of football.
The visual concept, drawing inspiration from the cultural heritage of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, is inspired by local tiles and mosaics. Traditional elements are reinterpreted with modern patterns, colors, and gradients that appeal to the younger generation.
The official emblem features the letter “U,” meaning “YOU,” in a unique design that signifies the potential of young players to shape the future of football. This design emphasizes that players and fans are at the center of the tournament. The “U20” elements in the emblem reflect the dynamic pattern used in all materials of the tournament’s official visual style.
A vibrant palette of turquoise, green, purple, and red, enriched with dynamic color gradients, complements the visual concept and unites the two host countries around a single brand.
FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström stated:
“Representing their countries at a FIFA World Cup is a significant achievement that these young footballers will proudly remember throughout their careers. It’s also a chance to experience different playing styles, adapt to new environments, and test themselves against the best players of their generation. The slogan ‘It’s Your Game’ is specifically for them: this is the stage where they have the opportunity to leave their mark on football.
Together with our hosts Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, with whom we are grateful for the effective cooperation, we want to provide young footballers with the necessary support to showcase all their skills at the World Cup and give them an unforgettable experience that they will remember long after the final whistle.”
Events will be held in the capitals of the two host countries today to mark the unveiling of the tournament’s official brand. As preparations for the World Cup accelerate, the official emblem will be displayed in prominent locations in Baku and Tashkent.
AFFA President Rovshan Najaf emphasized that the World Cup will create broad opportunities for young footballers:
“The FIFA U-20 World Cup 2027 creates extensive opportunities for young footballers from various countries to showcase their talents, gain valuable international experience, and take a significant step forward in their careers. We believe that the tournament will not only be a high-level sporting competition but also an important platform that serves the development of young footballers and further increases fans’ interest in football.”
First Vice-President of the Uzbekistan Football Association, Ravshan Irmatov, also spoke about the importance of the World Cup:
“The FIFA U-20 World Cup 2027 creates great opportunities for young footballers to showcase their talents on the international stage, gain valuable experience, and take the next step in their professional careers. We believe that the World Cup, hosted by Uzbekistan and brotherly Azerbaijan, will further strengthen the ties between our countries and win the admiration of football fans worldwide.”
The FIFA U-20 World Cup 2027 will be the 25th edition of the tournament and will coincide with the 50th anniversary of the first tournament held in Tunis in 1977. Famous footballers such as Diego Maradona, Lionel Messi, and Erling Haaland have played in this prestigious competition. The upcoming championship will give the younger generation the chance to leave their mark on football, and fans the opportunity to discover future stars.
