The salaries of all military personnel of the Ministry of Defense will increase by an average of 22.8% after taxes and other mandatory payments are deducted.
According to the news from “Elchi”, this is reflected in the draft law on amendments to the Tax Code, the laws “On the Status of Military Personnel”, “On Police”, “On Approval of the Regulation on Service in Customs Bodies”, “On Service in Prosecution Bodies”, “On Approval of the Regulation on Service in Internal Affairs Bodies of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, “On Intelligence and Counter-Intelligence Activity”, “On Service in Justice Bodies”, “On Approval of the Regulation on Service in Migration Bodies”, and “On Service in Emergency Situations Bodies”, which was discussed at the meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Defense, Security and Anti-Corruption.
According to the proposed new approach, the link between the pension amount and the provision allowance will be eliminated, and the pension amount will be formed based on the pension capital recorded in the individual personal account.
The position salary, which is the base salary, will be replaced by the rank salary, and the volume of the rank salary will be increased to 70 percent. This will further improve the welfare of military personnel and stimulate them to serve more.
