The President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, has arrived in India to participate in the 18th BRICS leaders’ summit.
“Elchi” reports, citing foreign media, that during the visit, Xi Jinping will speak at the summit sessions and discuss global security issues with other heads of state.
Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov stated that although no official bilateral meeting is planned between Vladimir Putin and the Chinese leader during the summit, the leaders will hold a brief, informal discussion.
It should be noted that in addition to BRICS members, delegations from partner countries and UN officials are also participating in the summit held in New Delhi on September 12-13.
