Lavrov: Europe and the rest of the West have turned into a heavily wounded beast.
“Elchi” reports that the collective West, having lost its ability to dominate objectively, now resembles a heavily wounded beast. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov made this statement in an interview with the “Sama Menshova” online project.
He noted that the situation has had a particularly strong impact on Europe. The diplomat warned that Western states have become more dangerous because they find themselves in the position of a wounded beast.
“The West’s loss of the ability to make decisions objectively drives it to attempt to maintain dominance through completely unscrupulous methods – sanctions or even direct intervention, including military operations. They are simply clinging to the last remaining opportunities to maintain their dominance,” Lavrov said.
The minister noted that the level of instability currently observed on a global scale has surpassed the Cold War era of the 1970s.
In July, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov gave an interview to the German publication *Die Weltwoche*. Speaking to journalists, he urged the collective West not to dictate its rules to the rest of the world. According to the Kremlin spokesperson, the world has changed, and it is difficult to imagine the return of the old days.
