An “open door day” event was held at Fire Protection Unit No. 22 of the Sumgayit City Fire Protection Department, organized by the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
elchi reports, citing the Ministry of Emergency Situations, that the event, which was attended by young people from the “Sumgayit Youth House” social service institution, aimed to contribute to the comprehensive development of youth, their physical and mental well-being, the formation of a culture of safe living, and increasing their awareness of the professional activities of firefighters.
During the “open door day,” participants were provided with detailed information about the daily routine of firefighters and the activities of the unit. They were also shown the rules for using primary fire extinguishing equipment and a demonstration of part of the staff’s daily training exercises.
Additionally, the young people were introduced to the necessary fire extinguishing and other emergency rescue equipment used during emergencies and were informed about safe behavior rules during emergency situations.
During the engaging event, questions of interest to the participants were answered.
