On September 6, the cycling competition among employees of government agencies, jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation, concluded at the Velopark.
This was reported to “Elchi” by the Press Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
It was noted that the MES cycling team members participating in the competition managed to achieve high results. Thus, in the women’s race, Senior Lieutenant Leyla Aliyeva, an employee of the Baku Regional Center, covered the distance faster than all her competitors and won the gold medal. Another member of the team, Sevda Verdiyeva, an employee of the State Agency for Control over Safety in Construction, won the bronze medal. In the men’s race, Javid Khalilov, a Chief Sergeant of the internal service and an employee of the State Fire Protection Service, finished the race in second place and won the silver medal.
The winners were awarded diplomas and medals by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
