Trump also stated that the Iranian economy is in a very bad state and added: “Their economy is the worst in the world. They said this morning that inflation in Iran is close to 300 percent.” “Their money is worthless,” he said. Criticizing media outlets that claim Iran is not in a very bad situation, Trump said: “No, they are not in a very good situation. And that’s why it’s just a matter of time. It’s just a matter of time.”
“We are doing very well on the Iran issue”
Stating that the only reason they are fighting Iran is not just his country’s security interests, Trump said: “At least 99 percent of the time, we are doing this to help the Middle East. We are doing this to help Israel. We are doing this to help ourselves. Because after Iran happily destroys Israel, and then the Middle East, they could attack Europe and some of our cities without us dealing with them. Touching on the recent attacks on military targets in Iran, Trump said: “I want to thank Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and the people involved in this process. They are doing a great job. We spoke on the phone last night and we delivered very strong blows. Things went really well. We solved many issues. As you know, we are currently controlling the Strait of Hormuz, and many of our oil tankers pass through there every day, every night. I don’t want to sound too brave or stupid, but so far they have been able to do very little to stop it. We will continue the situation in this way.”
