Ukraine’s population could decrease to 15 million by the end of the century.
elchi reports that this was stated by Vasili Voskoboynik, an expert on demography and labor migration in Ukraine and head of the Ukrainian Migration Policy Office.
“If it is not possible to stabilize depopulation, the country faces a gradual extinction: the share of elderly people will increase, the number of children will decrease, and by the end of this century, only about 15 million people may remain in Ukraine,” he said in an interview with the regional TV channel “VITA TV”.
