On September 1, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf met with Wang Dongjin, Chairman of the China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC).
“Elchi” reports with reference to SOCAR that during the conversation, the parties reviewed investment opportunities in offshore oil and gas exploration, development, production, oil refining, and petrochemical sectors, as well as cooperation opportunities in international trade, the application of new technologies, and partnership issues aimed at increasing operational efficiency.
Within the framework of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between SOCAR and CNOOC.
The document provides for the implementation of joint upstream projects in Azerbaijan and other countries, as well as the expansion of cooperation in the fields of technical services in the oil and gas sector, supply of equipment and technologies, engineering, operational and technical support.
