Two people died in a plane crash in the Piedmont region of northern Italy.

The accident occurred on Wednesday around 11:30 local time (13:30 Baku time) in the Antrona-Schieranco municipality of the Verbano-Cusio-Ossola province, near the Campiccioli dam. A 60-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman lost their lives in the crash.
According to rescuers, the aircraft involved in the accident was an autogyro (gyroplane). Emergency services and an air ambulance helicopter were dispatched to the scene.
The causes and details of the accident are being investigated.
