Monitoring begins on the implementation of dress code in state general education institutions

Monitoring has begun to study the implementation of dress code requirements for students and educators, as defined by the relevant decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers, in state general education institutions.

This was reported to elchi by the Baku City Education Department (BCED).

It was stated that within the framework of the monitoring, the adherence of students to the established school uniform requirements and the adherence of teachers to the dress code appropriate for the nature of their pedagogical activity and the business environment were investigated.

At the same time, attention was paid to the organization of control over the implementation of relevant requirements in schools and to awareness-raising activities regarding the rules.

When non-compliance with dress code requirements was identified during the monitoring, preventive and awareness-raising conversations were held with students and teachers by the school administration, and parents were invited to school when necessary.

“In addition, cases were recorded where students and teachers who did not comply with the established dress code were not allowed to attend classes.

At the same time, we regret to report that inappropriate behavior inconsistent with the school and educational environment was recorded in some general education institutions.

These incidents not only created obstacles to the educational process but also resulted in damage to school property. Pressure and threats against teachers and school administration regarding the implementation of dress code rules were also encountered.

It should be noted that monitoring is planned to continue in order to evaluate the implementation of dress code rules and to strengthen control over adherence to the established requirements, “the department reported.
