At the “Shahtakhti” customs post of the Nakhchivan Main Customs Office, a vehicle transporting a cargo of “ready-to-eat food products” from Iran to Germany in transit through the territory of Azerbaijan was inspected using a stationary X-ray machine, and the cargo was subjected to a detailed customs examination.
The office informed elchi that during the inspection, the narcotic substance was discovered at the bottom of 1,218 plastic containers of canned rice.
The net weight of the heroin, which was hidden using a sophisticated method, was 112 kg 761 grams.
An investigation into the fact is underway.
