Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov has received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Dirk Loelke.

Ambassador Dirk Loelke presented a copy of his credentials to Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. The Minister congratulated the ambassador on the commencement of his diplomatic mission in our country and wished him success in his activities.
During the meeting, the current state and development prospects of Azerbaijan-Germany-Azerbaijan relations, political dialogue, economic and trade ties, energy security, green energy, industry, transport and communication, as well as humanitarian and cultural cooperation issues were discussed.
It was emphasized that the recent visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, to the Federal Republic of Germany laid the foundation for a new stage in bilateral relations, and the importance of the Joint Declaration on the Strategic Agenda for Bilateral Partnership, the establishment of the Azerbaijan-Germany Business Council, the further development of existing cooperation mechanisms, and the continuation of mutual high-level contacts were highlighted.
Noting that the nearly two-century-old historical ties and rich heritage connecting the peoples of Azerbaijan and Germany continue to serve as an important foundation for the development of relations today, the parties discussed the existing potential for further deepening cooperation based on mutual respect and trust.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on regional and international security issues. Minister Jeyhun Bayramov provided information about the current situation in the South Caucasus in the post-conflict period, the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, and the efforts made towards ensuring sustainable peace.
