More than 1100 people participated in the evaluation process of IT fields and IT specialists in libraries.
elchi reports that Deputy Minister of Culture Farid Jafarov stated this at a briefing on the certification of IT specialists in the library system.
“The preliminary results are being processed. The statistics will be presented to the public in the coming days,” he said.
The Deputy Minister also noted that the certification process for a group of employees working in libraries has been completed: “This process was aimed at checking their professional knowledge, as well as evaluating their suitability for the position they hold. Employees working in villages, settlements, cities, and districts participated in this process. When conducting the evaluation, special attention was paid to whether these individuals possessed knowledge in the field of information and communication technologies. However, since they are library employees, issues related to the library field, especially both their behavior and the management of their activities, were evaluated. The matter is not limited to statistics alone. More importantly, the number of our employees who can work in modern libraries in the next stages is crucial. In other words, as in the rest of the world, libraries in our country also need modern tools, especially digital tools, in accordance with the demands of readers.”
