Google has introduced three new artificial intelligence models, including its most powerful version, Gemini 3.6 Flash, and Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber, specifically designed for cybersecurity.
elchi reports that with this move, the company aims to strengthen its competition against rivals like Anthropic and OpenAI, which are known for their systems capable of detecting security vulnerabilities in software.
According to artificial intelligence ranking lists, Gemini 3.6 Flash further enhances the capabilities of the previous Flash version, which demonstrated high performance in software coding and financial operations. It is also reported that the new model is more cost-effective for users.
Google stated that the Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber model performs security vulnerability detection and patching processes at a lower cost compared to other large-scale models.
The third model introduced, Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite, is designed for tasks such as managing autonomous artificial intelligence agents that act as digital personal assistants. Tulsee Doshi, Director of Product Management at Gemini, stated that the new Flash models were built to provide an ideal balance between efficiency and quality.
Work continues on the “Gemini 3.5 Pro” model, which is expected to be the company’s highest-performing system.
In May, Google announced that the model would be released in June. The company stated that testing processes are ongoing and it will be made available to the general public once it is ready.
