Hikmet Hajiyev emphasized that the media policy implemented under the leadership of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, starting from the mid-1990s, created a reliable foundation for the formation and development of a strong, professional media in our country, alongside ensuring freedom of speech and information and pluralism of opinion:

Our media not only defends state interests but also goes on the offensive when necessary.”

H. Hajiyev added that at a time when complex processes are taking place in the world and our region, and wars and conflicts are not subsiding, Azerbaijan stands out with its security and development dynamics, further expanding its independent and principled policy and equal partnership relations with power centers:

We are confident that our media will further expand the positions it has achieved in the global information space, and at the same time, by demonstrating loyalty to its principles of activity, it will spare no effort in further strengthening patriotism and national solidarity in our society and in defending our national interests.”
