The 23-year-old footballer scored England’s final goal in the eighth minute of stoppage time. This was Bellingham’s seventh goal of the 2026 World Cup. With this, he became the England national team’s top scorer in a single World Cup.

Another Real Madrid player, Kylian Mbappé, also scored a brace in the match. The captain of the French national team brought his total goal count in World Cups to 22, becoming the tournament’s all-time top scorer.

With a 6-4 victory, England won the World Cup bronze medal for the first time in its history. This is the team’s second medal in World Cups. England became world champion in 1966.
