Passengers will be able to verify their identity on domestic flights via the “mygov” application without presenting physical documents.
elchi reports that a new digital registration service has been launched for citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan traveling on the Baku–Nakhchivan–Baku route. Thanks to this service, passengers can provide their identity information during registration via the “mygov” application.
Within the framework of the new service, a QR code placed at the registration desk is scanned using the “mygov” application. After the citizen reviews the list of data to be transmitted in the “mygov” app and grants permission, the passenger’s identity information is automatically transferred to the registration system, making the registration process faster, more convenient, and efficient.
The service is implemented at Baku and Nakhchivan airports, creating a comfortable and flexible service environment for passengers by organizing the registration process more effectively. This new solution is part of projects aimed at expanding the application of digital technologies at airports and further improving the passenger experience.
It should be noted that the digital registration service is optional. Passengers can still register by presenting their physical ID card in the traditional way if they wish.
