Relevant agencies of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) have held a series of awareness-raising events on the topic of “Safety rules on beaches” among citizens vacationing at the beaches.
According to the information provided by the MES to “Elchi”, the purpose of holding these events was to instill relevant knowledge in the public regarding safety rules on beaches.
Thus, with the participation of specialists from the State Service for Control over Small Vessels and Water Rescue of the MES, a series of awareness-raising events on water safety rules were held by the Baku, Sumgayit, Southern, and Northern Regional Centers in the areas of Baku city and the Absheron Peninsula, Sumgayit city, Lankaran city, and Khachmaz district, respectively.
During the events, the staff provided detailed information about water safety rules and emphasized the importance of adhering to these rules. Discussions were held regarding compliance with prohibition signs, the calls and requirements of lifeguards, sanitary-hygienic rules, not leaving children unattended, and providing first aid to victims.
Citizens were given recommendations on necessary measures to be taken to prevent accidents in the water in a timely manner, and educational printed materials were distributed.
