In the recent past, we faced certain difficulties in our bilateral relations.
elchi reports that this was stated by Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow.
The minister noted that this issue was also mentioned during today’s discussions: “I would like to emphasize with a sense of satisfaction that our states have managed to leave that complex stage behind and fully normalize the entire spectrum of Russian-Azerbaijani relations.
I would especially like to note that this normalization was possible thanks to the personal position of the leaders of our countries. The restoration of relations in full format was carried out precisely as a result of these efforts.”
Jeyhun Bayramov noted that Azerbaijan and Russia are neighboring states connected by centuries-old historical, cultural, and humanitarian ties: “The relations between our countries are solid in nature, and there are close and deep ties between our peoples. These ties, in turn, form the basis of interstate relations.”
