On October 30, a regular meeting of the Plenum of the Supreme Court was held.

It was stated that at the meeting, the draft decision of the Plenum of the Supreme Court on “Court practice on conditional early release from punishment, replacement of the unserved part of the punishment with a milder type of punishment, change of the type of correctional institution, and exemption from serving punishment due to illness” was discussed, put to a vote, and adopted.
Then, the draft decision on “Amendments to some decisions of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan” was discussed and adopted.
Information on the court practice in the application of legislation and the state of administration of justice in the Sumgayit Administrative Court in 2025 and the first half of 2026 was heard at the meeting.
Then, the issue of amending Decision No. 4 of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated January 16, 2023, “On the appointment of members of the Bar Qualification Commission who are judges” was considered.
At the meeting, the issue of amending the composition of the Scientific-Advisory Council of the Supreme Court was also discussed, and an appropriate decision was made.
